This home sits beautifully in the Riviera neighborhood of Santa Barbara. An area known for its views and historical homes. Our client's vision was to capture the essence of a luxurious European boutique hotel within their own home. Through careful curation and selection, we were able to achieve an eclectic and bespoke ambiance that perfectly reflects their desired aesthetic.

From the plush textiles and rich textures to the carefully chosen antique accents and statement lighting, every detail was thoughtfully considered to contribute to the overall atmosphere. The interplay of patterns and colors creates a sense of visual interest and depth, while the harmonious blend of old and new elements adds a touch of timeless elegance.

The ultimate goal of our La Vuelta project was to create an interior that reflected the effervescent personalities of our clients. This luxurious, french-inspired retreat in Montecito exudes a sense of warmth and humor throughout, from the showgirl-inspired light fixture in the closet to the hidden door in the dining room. The result is a space that is traditional and refined, but deeply heartfelt. A custom painting with the clients’ wedding vows hangs in the living room near a hand-painted kitchen mural. Each piece was chosen with care and a hint of whimsy. 

We had the unique opportunity to re-invent an interior for the new owners of a former project. The new homeowners loved the vibe of our Knoll Circle project, but wanted to put their own spin on it. A more subdued color palette with textural, coastal touches gave this interior and patio space a custom feel. Among our favorite details is a custom painting where the family is depicted in the beach crowd.

Formerly cramped and dark, we transformed the main living space at our Atascadero project into a bright, airy sanctuary. A window-covered wall opens up to the backyard patio, giving our clients (a young family of six) a massive indoor-outdoor living space to enjoy. To make the home practical for living with young children and pets, we used slipcovers and performance fibers for upholstery and floor coverings while ample storage ensures easy cleanup. Additionally, we turned the primary bathroom into a serene space for parents to wind down at the end of the day. 

Soft curves and warm finishes create a welcoming, modern environment in this guest house and office. Working with NMA Architects, we created a design that worked cohesively with the architecture and stunning central coast landscape. 

In both spaces, our goal was to blur the line between indoors and out. Floor-to-ceiling retractable windows in the guest house softly define the living space and patio, while colors and textures pulled from the natural surroundings echo throughout. Although this space was intended to be a guest house, our client shifted his residence here and now enjoys the “zen” environment and beautiful views daily. 

The organic lines of the guest house carry through to the office, where a suspended fireplace and clean-lined furnishings anchor the multi-functional space. 

We used a soft color palette and classic details to personalize this former builder-grade home for a young family of five. By updating hard surfaces throughout the home and adding custom cabinetry, we were able to create functional spaces without sacrificing style. A backpack area in the hallway (formerly a bank of cabinets) allows for easy organization of school gear and shoes while closed storage throughout keeps the home looking effortlessly put together. The result is a clean, serene refuge for the whole family to enjoy.

The Rametto project featured a complete remodel and reconfiguration of the bath and closet, tailored intricately to our client’s storage needs. We added unique touches like the vintage door on the linen closet, paying homage to the classic charm. The kitchen received a refreshing facelift with new cabinet fronts, windows, tile, and plumbing fixtures, all echoing a Mediterranean/French flair with a dash of glamour. Each room is designed to maximize breathtaking views - especially in the bathroom where we perfectly positioned the tub to draw the eye towards nature's canvas.

In this potting pavilion, we transformed a forgotten place in our clients’ beautiful garden into an elegant environment for reading, flower arranging and socializing. Working with local artisans, we designed a custom etagere to delineate the space from its blooming surroundings while artfully displaying posts and plants. Outdoor draperies provide shelter and shade while revitalized stone-clad counters and cabinets lend a European-villa feel to the space.

 In the very heart of the home, this  family's kitchen, laundry, and bathroom seamlessly blend practicality and a modern aesthetic. Thoughtfully designed for maximum storage efficiency, this contemporary area features a variety of durable surfaces that are both functional and visually appealing. The introduction of Heath ceramics tile adds a delightful touch of artistry, enhancing the overall clean and sophisticated appearance. By opening up the layout, the kitchen flows elegantly into the living room, promoting togetherness and interaction among family members. This design not only improves the efficiency of everyday tasks but also creates a warm and inviting space for family gatherings and cherished moments that will be remembered for years to come.

Transforming the heart of this Spanish-style home, we executed a complete layout change to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The dated fridge placement was strategically relocated, creating a fresh and inviting flow in the kitchen. We introduced a designated coffee and pantry zone, ensuring visibility for ease of access, while maintaining a cohesive design throughout the space. A stunning island featuring durable granite and quartz countertops serves as both a practical workspace and a stylish centerpiece, complementing the overall decor. This renovation has not only improved storage solutions but also elegantly opened up to the dining area, fostering a connected atmosphere perfect for entertaining.

This full remodel and addition project unfolded in two phases, transforming a 3,000+ square foot residence into a vibrant reflection of modern living. Our goal was to enhance functionality while incorporating distinctive personality throughout the space. We prioritized indoor/outdoor living, creating seamless transitions that invite natural light and fresh air.

This beautifully historic, Spanish-revival home called for carefully chosen finishes that not only related to the classic architecture but also felt refreshingly up to date. A serene and calming color palette, paired with the warm look and texture of reclaimed teak, helped us successfully achieve our design goal. By preserving finishes that related to the original architecture while making modern updates, we created a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary style.

In this stunning new construction home, which boasts gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape, our challenge was to thoughtfully incorporate our world-traveling clients’ many treasured possessions into a striking contemporary design. Through careful planning and creative vision, we were able to arrive at a warm, inviting, and eclectic space that truly honors and showcases their cherished collection. This project was particularly meaningful, as it was designed for an older couple, who wanted their home to reflect their rich life experiences and unique tastes.

Our clients requested a fresh and timeless aesthetic for their beautifully historic home located on the Upper Eastside of Santa Barbara. By threading classic details throughout the design, we made thoughtful, slight adjustments to the layout, ensuring that the space works seamlessly for their vibrant young family. One of our favorite details in this project is the striking black outline motif featured in the guest bathroom, which is both evocative of a rich past yet perfectly up-to-date, complemented by a sleek glass panel, an expertly hidden niche, and an innovative design that eliminates the need for a traditional shower door. This harmonious approach extends throughout the kitchen, family room, living room, bathroom, and dining areas, creating a cohesive and inviting environment.

Our client requested a traditional space that felt light, airy and elegant. We delivered a tailored look with custom window treatments and antique-inspired furniture. In the primary bath, we replaced the existing mirrors, lighting, paint and window treatments for a dramatic transformation sans demolition.
